Research and Education
We are working on physical chemistry and materials chemistry with emphases on photonics and thermoelectrics.
Talented and motivated undergraduates, and PhD candidates are welcomed. A few pos-doc/technical staff positions (2022-) are available. Tomoko Yagi wins the Young Scientist Poster Award at the 60th FNTG conference (March 1-3, 2021)
Prof. Nonoguchi starts his independent career via the MEXT Leading Initiative for Excellent Young Researchers (LEADER) program.
We work on nanocarbon alchemy for emergent electronic materials and devices development, with a particular emphasis on thermoelectrics. The corresponding applications include energy harvesting for upcoming IoT society and broadband photonic detection for future 5G to 7G telecommunication.
Nonoguchi group consists of a professor, two technical staffs, and three undergraduates. Additioanlly three graduate students from NAIST join the project supervised by Prof. Nonoguchi．
