About Us

Research and Education

We are working on physical chemistry and materials chemistry with emphases on photonics and thermoelectrics.

Open position

Talented and motivated undergraduates, and PhD candidates are welcomed. A few pos-doc/technical staff positions (2022-) are available. If you are interested in exploring the science of carbon nanotubes concerning energy harvesting and functional materials design, please contact Prof. Nonoguchi. Nanocarbon Alchemy

We work on nanocarbon alchemy for emergent electronic materials and devices development, with a particular emphasis on thermoelectrics. The corresponding applications include energy harvesting for upcoming IoT society and broadband photonic detection for future 5G to 7G telecommunication.

Our Team

Nonoguchi group consists of a professor, two technical staffs, and three undergraduates. Additioanlly three graduate students from NAIST join the project supervised by Prof. Nonoguchi.
